  • Architected n-tier framework that centralized business rules and standardized data access to CareVu Repricing Engine enabling simplified, safe access to the application data for the development team.

Software Engineer (December 1999 - January 2001)

Designed and maintained software applications for nationwide Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). Drafted corrective action plans (CAP) and policies and procedures (P&P) for IS Department to meet URAC accreditation. Authored documentation for numerous projects encompassing status reports to management and developer/end-user documentation.

Selected Accomplishments:

  • Coordinated year-long mailroom automation project with vendor. Specified, procured, and configured the necessary server and network stack to optimize the large paper-to-EDI project.
  • Developed Electronic Claims Mailbox (ECM) to deliver and simplify client access to their medical claims resulting in significant cost reduction of traditional paper/mail delivery.

Southwest Health Information Network

System Administrator (May 1996 - December 1999)

Supported servers, user workstations, network infrastructure, and software. Established departmental procedures and best practices for setting up workstations, adding new user accounts, mailboxes, backups, and disaster recovery. Supervised small team of helpdesk technicians, delegated support tickets by balancing resource availability and skill level. Managed day-to-day interactions with end-users, extending quality customer service.

  • Conceptualized and developed web-based intranet Online Resoruce Center (ORC), complete with helpdesk call reporting/tracking, employee directories, and human relations forms/applications.
